Wednesday, October 8 2:00 pm: The Bonny Doon Gardeners We will meet at the home of Marilyn Norberg, 4698 Smith Grade to experiment with making plant labels and stepping stones in concrete. Another way to identify your herbs and say 'welcome to my garden'! Call Marilyn for directions to her house, 426-1032, and to RSVP.

Tuesday, October 14 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Knitty Knotty Group 125 McGivern Way If you are interested in any of the fiber arts from around the world - we are too.  We spin, dye, knit, crochet, sew and felt according to who shows up.  We have some extra materials but always welcome donations that will go to our charity projects.  If you have talent in other areas of the fiber arts, or just want to try something new, we would love to have you come.  Call Shirin at 427-3787.

Thursday, October 23 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm: The Ladies of Bonny Doon The September meeting was held at the home of Susie Seydel. Due to her commitments, Bonny Doon School Superintendent Gail Levine was rescheduled to speak with the group in October. The club heard about emergency preparedness issues raised by the recent fire, including evacuation, from Kay Price of Cal Fire. The club meets the fourth Thursday of most months and is open to all ladies of Bonny Doon.  It is a social and philanthropic group founded in 1942.  For information call President Larue Wilton at 425-3558 or Vice-President Barbara Louv at 426-3652.

4:30 to 8:30 pm: Bonny Doon Elementary School Halloween Festival: Come in Costume. Arrive early for best parking. Bring the whole family! Raffle, Games, Prizes, a Haunted House, Food for purchase and lots of fun! All proceeds will directly benefit the school. Join us for an evening of fun and excitement! 3:00 to 5:00pm: Kids Trick or Treat downtown on Pacific Avenue: If you haven't been in Santa Cruz for Halloween you are so missing something.  It's my favorite day there.  Do wear a costume.  Most shops offer trick or treats for children from 3 to 5 pm. 6:00pm: Halloween adults and teens downtown on Pacific Avenue: It definitely gets scarier after dark.  Watch out for goblins of all shapes and sizes!
